Title: 2-D Drawing

Media: Pencil and Paper

I wanted to base my city off of New York City with middle building of the Chrysler building in Manhattan. Then I added tall buildings beside it and make them shorter as I went to each side of the paper. For my background I wanted to make it look like the city was on fire.

For my middle building I just drew a tall vertical line with parallel lines on each side, then I drew the tops corresponding to the vanishing points at both sides of the paper. I also did the same process for my windows and the rest of my buildings. For the fire I drew flares of different sizes on and behind the buildings as well as drawing smoke to make it look more realistic.

Wet Paint Challenger

Media: Tempera paint on canvas

Im a big fan of Dodge cars and I wanted to paint a Challenger with the Ram and two stripes above it. I also wanted to make the Ram logo fade into the black background a little bit.

I used a round brush for the car and logos and flat brush for most of the black background. I layered atleast three times to get the right shade of red on the car.

Tiki God: Ku

Media: Clay

For my sculpture I wanted to make my sculpture of Ku look like a human with boad shoulders and legs with a hole in the middle. I also wanted to add weapons of war to symbolize the meaning of the sculpture.

For the body I used small slabs of clay to make the shoulders and legs look buff. Then, under Ku, I put a bow and arrow pointing up and on the back I put a sword symbolizing war.

Title: 350 Reflection

Media: White color pencil on black paper

I wanted to draw a car but one that wouldn't take a lot of time to draw so I chose a small Nissan 350z. I also liked the reflection in the water.

I struggled at first to draw the car so I practiced on other pieces of paper until I got it right and could draw it consistantly. Instead of drawing the outline of the wheel I drew the rim in the way it was facing me to make it look like the car was drifting. After completing it I went back with a tortillion to make the car and reflection look more realistic.

A Charge in the desert

Media: Watercolor paint on canvas

Once again another Dodge painting but this one of the charger. I wanted to paint something in a place you would not really see it in (car in a desert).

I was originally going to leave the car white but I wanted to add color to it so I painted it blue and layered it to get that dark blue it has. Instead of adding leaves to the trees i left them naked and added branches. Then I used a blue wash to paint the sky around the trees and layered a lighter brown on the ground to make it look like a desert environment.

Cam Newton :(

Media: Pencil and paper

For this piece I wanted to draw Cam Newton but it didn't go so good. i was difficult for me to draw dimples and that just messed up the rest of the drawing.

For his face I just drew it like I would normally draw it (eyes, nose, mouth). For the dimples I shaded two areas on each side of the mouth then erased small sections but it didn't turn out the way I wanted. For the hair I put down a couple layers of shading then went back over it in circular motions to make the hair look curly.

Retro 1

Media: Pencil and colored pencils on paper

I based my piece off of the shoes I had on when I started which were Retro 1s. I didn't have to do much for the elements and principles because the shoe had most of them already in it I just needed to point them out. Most were pretty easy like line, space, and emphasis but others I had to do a little bit more.

For elements like texture I added the holes of materials going through the shoe. For form I drew a shadow under the shoe. For balance I realized I couldn't see any from the side of the shoe so I drew it from the back. For movement I drew the shoestring flowing down the shoe. Then for the background I drew the retro logo with elements of art on the left and principles of design on the right.
